Harbour School Site Development Plans Announced

Portsmouth, UK – July 9, 2024 — The historic St James' Hospital site is set to undergo significant redevelopment as part of Portsmouth's efforts to meet its growing housing needs. Homes England, the government’s housing agency, has partnered with Vistry Group, the UK’s leading mixed-tenure developer, to transform the former Harbour School portion of the site.

Redevelopment Overview

The redevelopment will encompass 2 hectares (approximately 5 acres) of the former Harbour School site. The project includes plans for 58 homes along with associated landscaping. This initiative is a crucial component of the Milton Neighbourhood Plan and is supported by Portsmouth City Council.

Public Consultation Invitation

In an effort to engage the local community and gather feedback, Vistry Group is organizing a public consultation event. Residents are invited to review the proposed plans, ask questions, and provide their input.
